DIXON FAMILY CEMETERY\nCARROLL COUNTY VIRGINIA\nSULPHUR SPRINGS DISTRICT\nFRIES JUNCTION (ABOUT 1/2 MILE DOWNSTREAM)\nGALAX CITY (ABOUT 3 MILES AWAY)\n\nLocation: East side of New River on Dixon Family Farm which Alexander and Sallie Dixon first settled in mid 1800s. Land is approximately one mile or so down river from the town of Fries.\n\nDirections: At the Low Water Bridge Turn off Route 721 (Fries Road) onto Route 606 (Dixon Road). Go one half mile. The cemetery is located to the west (left) of road on a gentle rolling knoll overlooking New River.
